SPEAD for Safety (HSE) Engineers
Next Start: January 2020

HSE Specific tasks:
  • Support Wintershall’s Operations in complying with Health, Safety, Security, Environmental (HSE), legal and industry standards
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the HSE Management System and implementing procedures and work instructions
  • Responsible for evaluating and supporting international Exploration & Production projects throughout the entire life-cycle
  • Support the risk management process through HSE risk assessments and facilitate the implementation of safety concepts
  • Support our management in developing visible HSE commitment & initiate programs for continuous HSE improvement
  • Monitor compliance with HSE requirements, governmental requirements or legal standards and conduct incident investigations
  • Execution of internal audits and contractor assessments

  • A tailor-made combination of practical “on the job” training supplemented by selected technical training courses for a duration of 24 months
  • Be part of a committed team and participate in challenging and meaningful business relevant projects in domestic and international assignment locations
  • Clear and competent technical supervision from senior staff, and proactive support from mentors, and SPEAD coordinators
What we expect:                         
  • Master degree, equivalent or PhD (HSE specific or related like petroleum engineering or process safety)
  • University study in a reasonable time frame and demonstrable academic achievement
  • At least one E&P relevant internship
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills
  • International experience (school exchange program, internship, study at foreign university)
  • Highly developed social and interpersonal skills
  • High flexibility and willingness to work internationally
  • Knowledge and understanding of HSE; Operational and Social challenges and risks the Oil & Gas Industry is facing
  • Able to build bridges between HSE and the operational and technical departments
